Henri GuisanMarried: Oct 28 1897 - Vaud, Switzerland.
Henri Guisan was a Swiss military officer who served as General of the Swiss Armed Forces during World War II. Guisan was the fourth and most recent person to be appointed to the rarely used Swiss rank of general and is widely regarded as one of Switzerland’s most iconic military leaders. He led the Réduit national defense strategy and delivered a landmark speech at Rütli in 1940, calling for national resistance against a potential Nazi invasion.
